In 2018 the buildings 3 and 4 Ardoch Avenue were damaged by ground movement caused by failures of the stormwater system. Subsequent tree removals made the damage worse. Neither the stormwater nor the buildings, external or internal, have been fixed. This is how they were left by OC contractors in 2022 and remain today.
The land between 3 and 4 Ardoch Avenue does not have a functional stormwater system to dispose of surface and sub-surface water flows. The drainage system is in need of urgent repair to prevent further and continuing damage to adjacent buildings.
For the financial year 2023-24, total expenditure was $777,032 (including GST), a 28% increase from the previous year. The budget for 2024-25 is set at $903,516, a further 8%. There are many issues including rising fees, irregularities in internal accounting, non-compliant balance sheets, categorization of expenses, and correct allocation of funding sources. Significant unplanned expenditures, such as repairs at 3 and 4 Ardoch Avenue are not explained. Transparency and proper financial management are crucial.
